Yep that defines many people... Even when I was a missionary, I felt like I was teaching things that in my heart I didn't believe in. And for months, I have not felt like praying, except a few sighs and groans when I'm feeling really down.... Not that I get an answer...

I found it interesting that Adoracion de Familia (Family Worship) is capitalized. As if will be some sort of official arrangement.
I can imagine now the elders will come around and ask "What are you doing for Family Worship?"

I would translate this:
"Therefore we are not surprised that some will sell their blood."
"Admirar" in this context does not mean "admire", but rather "surprise".
since i left 3+ months ago, i've have been going through many changes.
first, i have developed a host of physical ailments, most i believe related to stress and coming out in my body.
i had always been pretty healthy, except for the depression, but now it seems everything is falling apart.

My experience was somewhat the opposite. I had some of those feelings while I was still "in". Now that I am free, I feel so much better emotionally and mentally., although I felt like I was losing it for about 2 weeks. I would suggest to:
Accept the present.
Don't be upset about the past, since you likely have learned something positive from being a JW.
Vent on this board.. it helps to keep your sanity.
anzac day brings strong emotions of those who died for the freedoms we take for granted.
the dawn service is allways too early but we will make it to the march today.
Here in the States we can only get Anzac by a doctors perscription................oompa

Well I've been on this form for 17 days now, and yes, I've felt welcomed. I know that there is always some initial aprehension when there is a new poster... in fact I made 5 posts under a different name, and realized that I wasn't introducing myself right. So I started again with this name, and all has been well. I feel that I am making new friends, which is more than I can say for the last four years in JWville as an ostracized ex-missionary with no privileges in the cong. (Nothing like losing privileges for JWs to make you feel welcome - the inevitable question..."So why did you leave your assignment?" And trust me, they didn't want to know the answer had I leveled with them.)
Anyway, Flipper, I appreciate your optimism and encouragement.

Actually, I'm kinda serious. I had some suicidal thoughts since I felt so divided internally. Now I realize that recognizing that I didn't believe in the JWs or their guilt trips is a huge emotional load taken off. You know, how the pharisees loads were...
And you guys do this better than JWs:

Judging from my wife... no sifting going on...
But you never know who is going to wake up to the WTS's game. I'm impressed with the number of exelders (not talking about stilla) and current elders on this site. Then again, there are also probably plenty of newbie JWs entering into the revolving door that leads to lifelessness.
Some are goin in.. and some are comin out...
